January programming begins tomorrow, January 10th, at 4PM. Brianne is presenting the elementary program, “Let It Snow!” The program is for kids in grades K-5th. Come to the Clymer room for stories, games and a craft!

Children under the age of seven must be accompanied by an adult.

The library will be open regular Saturday hours, 9:00 – 5:00, on New Year’s Eve. We will be closed Monday, January 2. We will reopen at 9:00 a.m. on Tuedsay, January 3.   HAPPY NEW YEAR!!

SHREK- BE THE MOVIE!!

Thursday, December 29, at 1:00p.m., the Library presents —-SHREK- an interactive movie experience!

All ages are welcome to come to the Clymer room and be a part of the action. Sing the songs, cheer, boo, make some noise! Bring a friend!

Brianne will be your guide on this SHREKtastic trip.

The movie is rated PG for mild language and some crude humor. Run time is 90 minutes.

Children under the age of seven must be with an adult while at the library.

 The Parent Talk System is being offered again, starting January 9, 2012. It is free to Butler County residents.

The Parent Talk System is a style of communicating with children that creates emotionally healthy family relationships. It is a skill-based program that teaches parents a series of verbal skills and language patterns to help them achieve their desired objective of raising responsible, respectful children while reducing stress, strain, and family conflict.

Brianne presents Family Story Time for kids ages six and under, at 7:00 PM, Tuedsay, November 22. She will share books about the Farm.  Great opportunity for a special time with your child before the hubub of the holidays. Come in your pajamas if you want to!

The library will be closed for Thanksgiving from 1:00 PM, Wednesday, November 23 until 9:00 AM, Saturday, November 26.

Did any of you feel the earthquake late Saturday night! I did! I was in Oklahoma and it was pretty exciting.  I had never been in a earthquake before and was suprised by how much noise there was! It sounded like really loud, rumbling thunder.

I made this list of books about earthquakes that we have in the Children’s Department. Come in and check one out!

Just a reminder that there is no Preschool Story Time this week. The Friends of the Library will be using the Clymer room, getting set up for the Book sale/Bake sale on Friday and Saturday.

Preschool Story Time will return next week, November 10th, when we will have Thanksgiving stories! See you then!

Friday and Saturday November 4th and 5th, the Friends of the Bradford Memorial Library are holding a Book Sale and a Bake sale. Friday hours, 9-5, Saturday hours 9-2.

Books, DVD’s , CD’s videos and more, all going for $5.00 a bag. What a DEAL! See you there!
